STAR Student
The STAR Student Program enables students to be recognized and celebrated each week.

The basis for the STAR student program is that school is suppose to be fun and rewarding. The STAR program is designed to give students confidence and a healthy self esteem.
​
School-wide assembly is held every Friday. This general coming together of the student body serves as an opportunity to foster community, celebrate achievements, and introduce themes or important announcements.
The class that is "in charge" of assembly leads the school in song time. It is also a time for is storytelling, group discussions, and reinforcing school values. Assembly focuses on engaging children in interactive learning experiences, promoting social skills, and creating a sense of belonging.
"STAR Students" are selected by their teacher and are given certificates, awards and are treated as the special student of the week having the opportunity to be the class leader and teacher helper.
