About Us
DaySpring Academy was born in 1996 out of the genuine desire of the Director & Administrator to create a school that allows every child to feel successful in school. A strong desire to build a positive self-esteem in children who are frustrated in a traditional school setting fuels the passion of the school’s staff members. Small class sizes, nurturing family atmosphere, playful hands on learning opportunities, and varied extracurricular activities help children to feel secure in their fist school experience. Each child is nurtured by the caring and dedicated team of staff members.

Mrs. Greer Symonette-Bain
Director
The director of the school is Mrs. Greer Symonette-Bain, a trained teacher with a Bachelor’s Degree. In English Language and Literature from the University of Western Ontario in Canada. She also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Christian Education from Redeemer College in Canada and a Master's Degree in Exceptional Student Education from Barry University in Florida.
The philosophy of the director and founder of DaySpring is “One way that children develop positive self esteem is by repeatedly attempting challenging activities and completing them successfully.”.
Ms. Linda Symonette
Administrator
The school's administrator is Mrs. Linda Symonette who holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Bethune-Cookman College in Daytona Beach, Florida.
